Seventeen new vendors will take their place among the old faithful at the Wood River Farmers Market this year.
The Wood River Farmers Market kicks off its 2022 season from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 11, at Roberta McKercher Park in Hailey. It will maintain those hours throughout the season.
The Ketchum Market will open Tuesday, June 14, in the lower River Run parking lot at the base of Bald Mountain. It will run from 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through late September or early October.
Visitors to both markets will find produce, drinks, ready-to-eat foods, meat and fish, pies and other baked goods canned specialties, cut flowers, jewelry, clothing, CBD products, popcorn, chips and more.
“We are super excited as we will have live music at both markets this year,” said Sheila Plowman, the market manager.
Among the new vendors are Joes Juice, which will offer fresh squeezed raw juices; Teff Flour, and the 4AM Mommas bread company, which will sell sourdough bread products.
Wilder Jones, son of Nate Jones of Kings Crown Organics will sell raw dairy products. Colby Whitehead will sell Vermicast--organic worm compost—at the Ketchum Market, and Sun Valley Mobile Massage will be at the Ketchum Market, as well. Other vendors include Idahat, which offers unique handcrafted hats, and Stained Glass and Sorbet.
This year the Ketchum Market will be open as a walk-through market, said Plowman.
“Keeping the market open until 6 p.m. should accommodate more locals and visitors,” she said.
