Visit Sun Valley will offer a sneak peak at the winter of 2022-23, and representatives will discuss the importance of tourism to the valley and how to think about the future during its Semi-Annual Community Meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 16.
The meeting, which is open to the community, will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. at Ketchum’s Limelight Hotel, rather than in the morning when such meetings are usually held.
Visit Sun Valley will then follow that up with a Chamber-related Business After Hours from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Limelight Hotel lobby, 151 Main St. S. in Ketchum. The BAH will feature complimentary food, drinks and a chance to network.
Kendall Kirkpatrick said the meeting will:
- Introduce the Visit Sun Valley organization to those who would like to become more familiar with its purpose, mission, and vision.
- Look at the importance of tourism to the local economy, its history and its impact on the community, especially as it relates to the previous two years.
- Present the long view regarding challenges, opportunities, and threats to the travel industry.
- Present developing evergreen strategies focusing on education, retention, and visitor loyalty.
- Examine winter opportunities along with a toolkit of resources for tourism partners to leverage this season.
