Load up on special homemade holiday cookies by the dozen and take home some veggie soup, chicken posole and chicken tortilla soup from Despo’s at the Papoose Club Holiday Bazaar this weekend.
The bazaar will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, and from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, at Hemingway STEAM School, 111 8th St. W., in Ketchum.
Santa is expected to show up from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
This year’s bazaar will feature handmade gifts from more than 70 artists from across the Intermountain West. They’ll be hawking creams, clothing, jewelry, handbags, birdhouses, decorative object, textiles, sweets and more.
There’ll also be handblown glass for sale, along with glass blowing demos and lessons.
"So many great vendors returning and new amazing handmade authentic and unique gifts for the holiday season," said Bazaar Chair Kaz Thea. "Beautiful wood products, jewelry, skin products, pottery, photography, home decor, cards, fleece, woven African baskets, kitchen items, bird feeders, ornaments and so much more."
The 2022 Papoose Club Holiday Bazaar Raffle will feature an array of items, including a 2022/23 Adult Season Ski Pass donated by Sun Valley Company, a round of golf for two at Canyon Spring Golf, a summer yurt getaway for up to 12 people donated by Sun Valley Trekking, a month-long family membership from the YMCA, a Nordic pass from The Blaine County Recreation District, a yurt getaway for 16 with soak pools at the Pioneer yurt, horseback riding at Silver Bell and an overnight at the Limelight Hotel.
The raffle also includes many more prizes, including a birthday party package from WiseGuy Pizza, bowling at Sun Valley for six, a haircut, spa package, full auto detail and dinners and movies from Magic Lantern Cinema and four restaurants.
Tickets are $5 each or 12 for $50.
The Papoose Club is going green this year, asking shoppers to bring their own clean reusable containers for cookies, soups and holiday purchases.
The Holiday Bazaar is one of three fundraisers the Papoose Club uses to fund various projects for nonprofit organizations serving youth in the Wood River Valley. The other two are the Wagon Days Pancake Breakfast and the Webb Nursery Plant Sale.
The Papoose Club also sponsors the Kindercup, a fun race for young skiers and boarders on Dollar Mountain, and the Nordic Cup.
