Mindy Meads, who served as board president of the Sun Valley Culinary Institute through its first couple of years, will share her journey as a stroke survivor on Wednesday, May 10.
Meads will discuss how she navigated the challenges of her recovery and the way her stroke influenced her in looking forward to create her best life in a free talk at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, in the conference room of the Wood River YMCA in Ketchum.
Meads, who lives in the Wood River Valley with her husband, retired after serving as CEO for several companies, including Lands’ End, Aeropostale, Victoria’s Secret Catalog, Calypso St. Barth’s and, locally, Vie Active.
She currently serves on the board of The Spot and has served on numerous other boards include Blue Nile, Wet Seal, Mela Science and WPO Zenith Group.
She is a former director for the Federal Reserve Board in Chicago and has taught at LIM College as an adjunct professor.
Her talk is being in presented in partnership with Anita Dromey Speech Therapy.
