The highly anticipated sci-fi comedy “Jules” will be the next film showing in the Sun Valley Film Festival’s Monthly Movie series.
The film will show at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, July 20, at The Argyros Performing Arts Center in Ketchum. Tickets are $20, available at www.sunvalleyfilmfestival.org and at the door.
The film tells the story of Milton, portrayed by Academy Award winner Ben Kingsley. Milton leads a quiet, predictable life in a small town in rural Pennsylvania, but his world takes an unexpected turn when a UFO and its otherworldly passenger crash land in his back yard.
What follows is a heartwarming, hilarious adventures for all ages.
“Jules” features Emmy nominee Harriet Sansom Harris and two-time Emmy winner Jane Curtin as Milton’s curious neighbors. And, as Milton develops a deep bond with the extra-terrestrial visitor, the trio embark on a journey filled with laughter and unexpected discoveries as the film explores the transformative power of unlikely friendships and the pursuit of meaning in later stages of life.
The film was directed by Marc Turtletaub, known for “Little Miss Sunshine.”
