Wanted: Donations of lightly used books for the upcoming Autumn Used Book and Bake Sale.
The Friends of the Hailey Public Library are accepting donations of books at Hailey Town Center West from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, through Tuesday, Oct. 17. The books will be sold at the Friends’ Books and Baked Goodies Sale Oct. 19-21.
The Friends are not accepting textbooks, VHS tapes, magazines, encyclopedias and soiled or damaged items, said member Sara Baldwin.
The 35th annual Friends’ Books & Baked Goodies Sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Oct. 19-20, at Hailey Town Center West. It will conclude with a Bag Sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21. A donation of $10 will buy you all the books you can stuff in a bag at that time.
All proceeds will support the Hailey Public library.
The non-profit Friends of the Hailey Public Library was established in 1987 to help build the library, which has since become a gathering place and a cultural and community center.
The Friends are currently seeking financial donations to purchase such items as the first four seasons of “Yellowstone,” Ebooks, Story Time supplies, MakeSpace supplies for youth and new computer and software for patrons.
