The new certified physician’s assistant in the Neurology department of St. Luke’s Wood River Clinic moved to the Wood River Valley from North Carolina after her sons put together a PowerPoint presentation convincing their mother and father to seek a new adventure.
Kimberly Tenold, PA-C, has been working with Dr. Karin Lindholm in the Neurology clinic in Hailey since August. She will begin seeing patients Nov. 6.
“Over the past few months working with Dr. Lindholm has been a joy,” Tenold said. “The supportive work environment, excellent clinical staff, obvious patient satisfaction and exceptional manager oversight have all provided me with a very warm welcome to this practice.”
Tenold graduated from George Washington University with a MSHS in Physician Assistant Studies. She has a BA in Psychology from the University of Virginia and is pursuing a doctorate in advanced professional practice for PAs, which she expects to complete in June 2024.
She has worked in family practice and internal medicine for 27 years. During that time she developed a strong interest in Neurology due to the complexity of the discipline, the way neurology figures into several healthcare fields and her personal desire to care for those who struggle with neurological diseases.
“Kim is a dedicated, astute clinician and a wonderful person. I am very excited that she has joined our team. I am confident our patients will feel well cared for and secure under her care,” said Lindholm.
Since moving to the Wood River Valley two years ago, Tenold and her husband have become active in nonprofit organizations and their sons are serving in leadership roles at their school.
“We are very happy to be here and feel fortunate to live in a community that has been so welcoming,” she said,
