Sixty-one new pieces of art have gone up at Friedman Memorial Airport. And the public is invited to celebrate the works during a reception for the artists from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, at the airport terminal.
Refreshments will be provided, and parking will be validated.
This is the 17th Biannual exhibit at the airport. And it’s an opportunity for many artists to showcase their work to incoming and outgoing passengers.
Typically, a handful of the works from each exhibition go home with viewers.
The exhibition features a wide range of techniques, styles and subject matters. That includes Jerome artist Dennis Mitchell’s three-dimensional piece of a “Brown Drake,” in which the painted rocks match the actual rocks, and Anne Watson Sorensen’s delightful watercolor depicting a blue and purpose moose.
