‘Tis the season for tree lightings and Santa sightings.
- The City of Hailey will kick off the festivities tonight--Friday, Dec. 1--with a tree lighting at Hailey Town Center West. Santa will be on hand from 5 to 7 p.m. There’ll be holiday music provided by Colla Voce and treats.
- The City of Ketchum will hold its tree lighting ceremony at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, in Ketchum Town Square. Colla Voce will provide the tunes while city staff serve up cookies and hot chocolate. And, yes, Santa will arrive on fire truck, as always.
- Sun Valley Resort will provide the final tree lighting at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, in Sun Valley Village.
- Bellevue will have is tree lighting from 6 to 7:30 p.m. tonight--Friday, Dec. 1--at 120 Main St. There'll be a bake sale, music by Colle Voce and N&G Rockheads and a book giveaway.
The Faculty Lounge, made up of singing teachers from the Sun Valley Community School, will knock out favorite Christmas tunes, including “Sun Valley Serenade.” There’ll be complimentary cookies and cocoa and ice carving demonstrations. Vendors will hawk decorated wreaths and other arts and crafts at the European-style holiday market near the duck pond. And Santa will cap the holiday festivities.
