There’ll be snowballs flying inside The Argyros on Sunday as the Wood River Orchestra moves its Holiday Concert to Ketchum’s performing arts center.
The free concert starts at 4 p.m. But doors will open at 3 p.m. so that concertgoers can avail themselves of silent auction items whose purchase will benefit the orchestra. There also will be complimentary homemade goodies, a no-host bar and pre-concert musical entertainment in the foyer.
The concert itself will feature a festive program of holiday favorites, including a couple songs snuck in for kids and the young at heart. And concertgoers can expect Orchestra Conductor Brad Hershey to dig out his box of magic snowballs at some point during the concert.
As part of their fundraiser the orchestra will offer several cabaret tables, each seating four, in front of the stage. Each table costs $250, and a bottle of wine will be included.
To secure free general admission tickets and cabaret tables, go to https://theargyros.org/calendar/wood-river-orchestra-2/. You do not need to get a ticket in advance for general seating, however. Walk-ins will be more than welcome on the day.
“We’re really excited to be able to hold this event at the Argyros this year, and we’re very grateful for all their support with the arrangements,” said Orchestra board member Andy Moffat. “We’re also very grateful for the support of our event sponsor Bigwood Bread. Our holiday concert is always great fun, with plenty of festive cheer for everyone!”
