Learn about the latest science concerning the Big Wood River when the Pacific Northwest hydrology director speaks at Ketchum’s Community Library.
Jon Ambrose, who works at Environmental Science Associates, will talk about the Big Wood River Atlas of which he is the principal river scientist. He will also discuss key findings for future river management at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, at The Community Library.
The program is the first in the Wood River Land Trust’s 2024 Think Globally, Act Locally speaker series.
The Big Wood River Atlas is a collaborative effort between Blaine County and river resource stakeholders. Developed in response to the 2017 flood, it was created to guide river planning and projects.
Cory McCaffrey, river program director for Wood River Land Trust, will finish the talk with a description of completed and designed restoration projects in 2024.
