That tap, tap, tap you hear this coming week might not be water dripping from your faucet.
Instead, it might be the tap, tap, tap of dance shoes as 12 of the Wood River Valley’s young dancers present performances educating viewers about the need to protect water in Idaho, the United States and the world.
Footlight Dance Company will offer a free show for the public at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, at the Community Campus in Hailey. “Water is Life—Treat It Right” will utilize a variety of dance forms, including ballet, modern, jazz, tap and hip hop.
The dance company is also taking its show to seven schools around the valley as part of its annual school enrichment tour.
Footlight Dance Center Founder Hilarie Neely always works hard to find important issues that she and her dancers can address through dance.
“We are excited to share our love of dance with this important look at our water resources,” she added.
