Pat is determined to win back his estranged wife with the help of a young widow who says she’ll help him if he enters a dance competition with her.
The film stars Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Robert DeNiro, Jacki Weaver and Chris Tucker. Its Oscar nominations included nominations for Best Picture, Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay. Jennifer Lawrence won the Academy Award for Best Actress.
The Sun Valley Film Festival is honoring David O. Russell with its Vision Award given to industry icons whose contributions have changed the cinema industry for the better.
Russell, who also directed such films as “Three Kings” and “American Hustle,” will take part in the festival’s popular Coffee Talks. Also participating in the free Coffee Talks will be actress Annette Bening, who is also being honored with a Vision Award.
