Yes, we know it’s winter—or, at least, we think it is given warm temperatures that have rivaled temperatures across the South this past week.
But, hey, you can hit the Farmers Market today.
The Wood River Farmers Market Association is starting a winter farmers market. The first market will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. today--Saturday, Feb. 3—at the Grange Hall in Hailey. It will continue every Saturday through the winter.
This is a trial to see whether there’s support for shopping for fresh local produce and other products, even during winter. Vendors will include Brick Oven Bakery, Dolce Cabana, Itty Bitty Farms, Koehn Trout Farm, La Parilla, Lava Lake Lamb, Mountain Mutts, Purely Popped, Shelly & Mike’s Farm, Southern Idaho Culinary Mushrooms and Wood River Ranch Beef.
The Grange is located at 609 South Third Avenue, just down the street from The Senior Connection and Hailey Fire Department.
