Wanted: Your imput regarding current air service at Friedman Memorial Airport and what you’d like to see in the future.
Fly Sun Valley Alliance has launched an online Blaine County Community Air Service survey for local residents, businesses and organizations and part-time residents regarding desired options for future air service improvements and more.
The survey can be assessed through Feb. 23 at www.flysunsurvey.com. Administered by the research firm RRC Associates, it should take 10 minutes to complete.
Fly Sun Valley Alliance Executive Director Carol Waller said the non-profit Fly Sun Valley Alliance has made great strides in improving air service over the past decade. SUN, as its known in air traffic circles, offers nonstop flights to six cities during peak season and more year-round flights overall.
Future air services options that can be considered include more frequency on existing routes and the possible addition of other nonstop routes.
“We know that air service is important to our local residents and businesses, their visiting family, friends, and customers, as well as part-time residents who have a stake here. We encourage all community members to participate since the results of the survey will be used in our strategic planning efforts to improve air service at SUN for the benefit of the community,” she said.
Those taking the survey may choose to remain confidential. But those who provide contact information will be entered into a drawing to receive a $500 Sun Valley Resort gift card.
