Check out the nearly finished design for Ketchum’s Main Street when the city holds two public meetings on Thursday and Friday.
The first of the meetings regarding the 90 percent designs for the Main Street reconstruction project will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, at The Argyros theater in Ketchum. A second mostly identical meeting will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 16, at Ketchum City Hall.
Refreshments will be provided at both meetings. The Friday presentation is accessible via webinar at https://ketchumidaho-org.zoom.us/j/81666829731. The webinar will be recorded and can be accessed later at www.projectketchum.org.
The City of Ketchum hopes to begin rebuilding Main Street and its sidewalks from River Street to 10th Street in April. The Idaho Transportation Department will provide $7 million for the street rebuild. Previous meetings have looked at art and interpretative signs that can be placed along that stretch, as well as bicycle routes, pedestrian enhancements and benches.
The design plans that will be presented at Thursday and Friday’s meetings are 90 percent complete.
The Ketchum City Council and Ketchum Urban Renewal Agency will review the final scope of work, considering the documents for approval at a joint meeting at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, at Ketchum City Hall. This is a public meeting, said Lisa Enourato, who is helping with the project on behalf of the city.
