Teton Gravity Research’s new film “The Hypocrite” explores the contradiction between personal actions and systemic efforts when it comes to climate advocacy.
And it tells the story through a professional skier Amie Engerbretson, who has skied for Warren Miller and Teton Gravity Research films, as it shows her passion for advocating for change while relying on fossil fuels to pursue her passion of skiing.
Engerbretson, who also has her own podcast, “Long Underwear,” will be on hand for a pre-show Sierra Nevada beer tasting and post-screening panel discussion when the movie is presented at 6 p.m. Friday, March 8, at Ketchum Limelight Hotel.
Engerbretson, who grew up skiing Palisades Tahoe, was given the 2021 Alliance Member of the Year award from protect Our Winters (POW) for her work in climate action.
Early bird tickets are $20 and include a customized YETI pint glass. Tickets for youth under $21 are $10 and do not include the beer and pint glass. For tickets, go to:
