The Advocates are holding a free Krav Maga Self-Defense class for females 14 and older.
The class will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at the Wood River Community YMCA in Ketchum.
Krav Maga, which means “contact combat,” is an Israeli martial art developed for the Israel Defense Forces. It is derived from techniques used in aikido, judo, karate, boxing and wrestling to empower individuals with grabs, chokes and other techniques to defend against real-life threats.
The class is open to beginners and those who have taken previous self-defense classes.
