Learn about the latest in Alzheimer’s and Dementia research on Tuesday at Ketchum’s Community Library.
Alexis Bonoff, the community outreach manager and research champion for the Washington and Northern Idaho Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, will speak at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, at The Library.
Bonhaff runs education programs and supports groups and manages volunteers from her office in the Tri-cities of Washington.
More than 6 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s; more than 11 million individuals have stepped up as their caregivers.
Bonhoff will talk about risk factors for Alzheimer’s and other dementia, the latest news in early detection and recent advances in clinical trials, treatments and lifestyle interventions. Research has been snowballing, leading to new strategies for prevention, detection, diagnostics and therapeutic interventions.
