Idaho Fish and Game is turning 125 this year, and it’s celebrating with a party from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 18, at Twin Falls City Park.
More than 40 different family-friendly activities for all ages will be offered during the free celebration. A wide range of hunting, fishing and outdoor activity products will be given away. Raffle tickets will be sold for guns that can be used during this year’s hunting seasons.
There will even be a wildlife calling contest for youngsters 12 and under with prizes for the best callers. The contest is expected to start about 4 p.m.; sign up at the bandshell by 3:45 p.m.
Idaho Fish and Game was established in 1899 by the Idaho legislature. It’s evolved from humble beginnings into an agency that strives to utilize science-based management for Idaho’s fish and wildlife.
