Learn to create new neural pathways to strengthen the ability to cope with trauma and chronic stress at an upcoming Community Resiliency Model workshop.
The workshop, led by national trainer Laurie Strand, a local licensed social worker, will be held from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday, May 31, at The Hunger Coalition in Bellevue.
The Community Resiliency Model is an international, evidence-based model that trains community members to help themselves and others while creating a trauma-informed and resiliency-focused community.
The strategies, based on human biology and neuroscience, focus on the innate human capacity to enhance well-being by cultivating body awareness and leveraging positive life experiences to foster balance.
Cost is $135 and will include coffee, tea and light snacks.
