The public is invited to join in the fun at the Color Me Fearless 5K.
The fun run where runners get splattered in paint, benefits Girls on the Run of Southern Idaho. The program promotes self esteem and teaches things like leadership through a series of lessons that include running and other outdoors games.
“This is the culminating 5K for our spring program participants but also a very fun community celebration that is open to all,” said Teressa Johnson, executive director of Girls on the Run Southern Idaho. “The start and each mile is celebrated with a different color for runners to go through making this a very exciting and colorful event for our community.”
The 5K will start and end at Hailey Elementary on Saturday, June 1. Check-in will be from 9 to 9:45 a.m. with the race starting at 10 a.m.
A Post Race Celebration will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with food trucks, a DJ and such activities as bubble ball. Several organizations will be on hand to tell about their summer programs and events.
Cost is $30 for those 18 and over and $25 for those 17 and under. To register, go to www.gotrsouthernidaho.org/5k-blaine-county.
