Stock up on your jams, seasonally available honey, cheese, eggs, meats, pies and artisan breads when the Wood River Farmers Markets resumes this week.
And, pie lovers: After a year's hiatus the popular Brick Oven Bakery will be selling their pies at both the Ketchum and Hailey Farmers Markets. They'll be selling at the Hailey market on June 29, July 13 and Aug. 10. They will make an appearance at Ketchum June 12, July 3, July 17, July 24 and Aug. 14.
The Hailey Farmers Market kicks off the season on Saturday June 8, running through Oct. 19. Hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Roberta McKercher Park along Highway 75.
The market will include such vendors as Katie’s Kakes, Sweet Indulgence, Mountain Mutts, Hillside Bread, Rivers Edge Orchard and Koehn Trout Farm. Local singer Trevor Green will be performing at the first market.
The Ketchum Farmers Market will again be held in Forest Service Park. First and Washington streets near Ketchum’s Limelight Hotel. It will kick off on Wednesday, June 12, and run through Oct. 9. Hours will be from noon to 4 p.m. Wednesdays.
This year’s market will feature produce from Wood River Ranch Beef, River Food, Andy’s Bread Company, Shooting Star Farm and Wild Spaces Farm, among others. There will be some visiting vendors, such as Big Lost Beef, S’more to Love and Herbal Grounded Momma, during the summer.
The markets will accept EBT and offer Double Bucks programs. Customers are encouraged to bring their own bags and baskets.
