You know there are bound to be a few laughs and good humor when R.L. Rowsey takes the stage.

And on Wednesday night he’ll be backed by a cast of some of the Wood River Valley’s most talented laugh meisters, as well as songsters, in a cabaret-style fundraiser for Laughing Stock Theater and Sun Valley Shakespeare, which will take place again this summer in Ketchum’s Rotary Park.

Lyrics, Laughter and Love for Laughing Stock Theater will take place at 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, at The Argyros in Ketchum.

The evening will include music and laughter by R.L. Rowsey, Rachel Aanestad, Jana Arnold, David Janeski, Annabelle Lewis, Megan Mahoney, Claudia McCain, Matt Musgrove, Aly Wepplo and Patsy Wygle. And there’ll be complimentary wine, beer and heavy hors d’oeuvres.

“The food by Judith McQueen looks fabulous!” said Patsy Wygle.

Laughing Stock Theatre, which was founded in 1976, is staging The Best of the Best Theater Review, a Camp Little Laugh production for children July 1-12 at the Sun Valley Community School Theater. Classes will include stage combat, dance, music and art, culminating in a free showcase. Enrollment is limited to 25 students with one group for those ages 5-7 and the other for ages 8-14.
