Jazz in the Park 2024 will kick off on Sunday, June 23, with Travis McDaniel & Friends and will run through July 28.
The lineup:
June 23—Travis McDaniel & Friends brings his neo-East Coast jazz sound and the bossa nova from Boise. Expect songs like “But Not for Me” along with “Fly Me to the Moon.”
July 30—Van Paepeghem Quintet featuring Northwest Nazarene University’s director of Jazz Studies educator. Expect songs from the Great American Songbook and other jazz.
July 7—Tony Galla Band featuring internationally acclaimed singer/songwriter Tony Galla who is heavily influenced by such artists as B.B. King and Ray Charles
July 14—Bossa Nova Jazz Ensemble
July 21—Ashley Rose Band, featuring the jazz- and soul-infused Americana music of Rose, a Boise gal who has performed at the Sawtooth Valley Gathering in Stanley
July 28—Nicole Christensen Band featuring Boise vocalist Christensen accompanied by sax, bass, drums and conga drums.
The free concerts run from 6 to 8 p.m. at Ketchum’s Rotary Park. Picnics are welcome, as are low-back chairs.
