The anniversary of the overturn of Roe v Wade will be marked by an Empower Women Fundraiser Workout followed by a picnic and conversation Monday evening at Ketchum’s Rotary Park.
Wild Rye, a Ketchum-based business providing outdoor and active lifestyle apparel for and by women, will host the event, which will start at 5:30 p.m. Monday, June 24, at Ketchum’s Rotary Park.
Wild Rye Founder and CEO Cassie Abel has engaged several women to put on the brand’s second Empower Women Fundraiser Workout with the help of Killarney Loufek and Shannon Brandenberg of The Mill, Sheriden Brett and Lili Hansen and Sophie Curl of Mountain Fit. The 50-minute yoga session will be led by Sarah Brooks Matthews. There’ll be a suggested donation of $25, with a local organization matching all donations.
All funds raised during the event will be donated to Idahoan United for Women & Families, a non-partisan Boise-based organization founded by a mother-daughter duo that’s working to get reproductive rights on the 2026 ballot. Those taking part are encouraged to wear red to show their support.
The workout session will be followed by a picnic and a conversation with Melanie Folwell of Idahoans United for Women & Families and State Rep. Ned Burns of Bellevue.
“This is an important showcase of community action towards achieving reproductive justice for women in Idaho and everywhere,” said Holly Harris.
