Bikers are invited test their lung power and calf power on the annual Galena Grinder Whit Henry Memorial Mountain Bike Race next week.
The competition will be held Saturday, July 6, at Galena Lodge. And it always draws a crowd.
Race options include a 50-mile Marathon, 20- and 25-mile Cross Country races, 7.5-mile Youth XC, 10-mile Adaptive Course and a free 1.5-mile kids Groomet Grinder.
The Marathon Race starts at 7:30 in the morning—yup, you read right. All other races start at 9 a.m.
“It’s hard as s***” says Galena Lodge Manager Chelan Pauly, tongue in cheek. “It is the GRINDER after all.”
Riders may register online until July 5 at https://galenagrinder.athlete360.com.
