Sun Valley has waffled between the heat dome and the Arctic dome this year. But that didn’t stop youngsters from playing on the Splash Slide during the Father’s Day gala held at Suntree Hollow south of Ketchum.
Youngsters gingerly tested their tolerance for cold in the splashy waters while their parents enjoyed chicken carnitas served up by Neighbors Helping Neighbors/The Crisis Hotline, H Property Service, the Kiwanis Club and St. Thomas Episcopal Church.
The gathering was meant to bring people together, said Herbert Romero, of Neighbors Helping Neighbors.
