New York Times columnist David Brooks will be the keynote speaker St. Luke’s Wood River Foundation’s annual Health & Well-Being speaker series.

Brooks will discuss his latest bestselling book, “How to Know a Person, The Art of Seeing Others Deeply and Being Deeply Seen.”
Brooks, who appeared at the Sun Valley Writers Conference a few years ago, is a keen observer of the American way of life and has a gift for bringing readers and audiences face to face with the spirit of our times with humor, insight and passion.
His new book explores humanity and the way we live as it underscores the value of community and the importance of human connection. Brooks draws from psychology, neuroscience, theater, philosophy and history as he contends that understanding others better helps us discover something larger in ourselves and our community.
