BY KAREN BOSSICK

The Ashley Rose Band from Boise will bring soulful jazz vocals over guitar to Sunday’s free Jazz in the Park.

The concert will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 21, at Ketchum’s Rotary Park at Warm Springs and Saddle roads. Attendees are encouraged to bring picnics and low back chairs.

Ashley Rose sings such songs as Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” and “Closer to You.” She has performed at the Idaho Shakespeare Fest Greenshow and other venues in Boise.

“We had a huge crowd for my bossa nova band last Sunday. This concert will be a good one, too,” said organizer Will Caldwell.
