The Community Library in Ketchum is holding a Local Authors Showcase for local, self-published authors to share their work.
The event will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, in the Library Lecture Hall as part of The Library’s annual open house “Book Around the Block!” The event will include an Olympic photo booth, scavenger hunt and free food and beverages.
The Library is accepting applications through July 31. Up to six authors will have 15 minutes each to share from their work, either through a reading, presentation or discussion. They also will be provided a table in the Lecture Hall from which they can sell books and interact with attendees.

“We love supporting our local writers and helping to share their work,” said Martha Williams, the library’s director of programs and education. “This is an opportunity to promote the creative work of people in our valley and for them to get their stories and hard work out into the world and into the hands of readers.”
