Did you know that sheep like to cavort in Idaho’s mountains on starry, starry nights?
You can have a grand old time, as well, at the Trailing of the Sheep Festival’s Starry Starry Night.
The nonprofit festival will present its annual fundraiser at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, at The Argyros in Ketchum.
Guests will enjoy an evening of entertainment and a lamb feast paired with local seasonal foods and a variety of beverages. And there’ll be a chance to bid on live and silent auction items to support the Trailing of the Sheep Festival, which has been named the tops in numerous Best Fall and other festival lists by such publications as USA Today.
There also will be a mystery raffle.
General admission tickets are $150 and VIP tickets are $225, available at https://trailingofthesheep.ejoinme.org/StarryNightTickets
This year’s Trailing of the Sheep Festival will be held Oct. 2-6 as it celebrates a 150-year tradition of moving, or trailing, sheep from high mountain summer pastures through the valley to winter grazing and lambing areas.
Registration just started for wool classes at https://trailingofthesheep.org/wool-fest/. Sign up for cooking classes at https://trailingofthesheep.org/cuisine/cooking-classes/.
