Renowned live speed artist Revel will showcase his talents at the Trailing of the Sheep Festival’s Starry Starry Night fundraiser on Aug. 29.
Revel will create an original art piece upside down within minutes that will be auctioned off to the highest bidder.
Revel has been wowing audiences across the United States with his upside-down speed painting, which has been featured for a decade on NFL, NBA, Toyota and TBN commercials. He’s done quick portraits of people like Lin Manuel, Jimmy Hendrix, Darth Vader, Martin Luther King, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jesus Christ. And he’s painted cartoons and Baby Yoda.
“Revel is going to be a great addition to our event,” said Laura Musbach Drake, executive director of the festival.
Starry Starry Night, will kick off at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, at The Argyros Performing Arts Center in Ketchum. It will include an evening of entertainment, food drinks, a mystery raffle and silent and live auctions.
The Wood River Quartet will provide music during the cocktail reception, and lamb will grace the dinner plates. Funds raised will support the festival’s mission to celebrate and preserve the history and cultures of sheepherding in Idaho and the West.
The 28th annual Trailing of the Sheep Festival will be held Oct. 2-6 this year in Hailey and Ketchum.
Tickets are $150 for general admission and $225 for VIP tickets, which include an Opari gift, VIP seating and premium wine. For tickets, go to https://trailingofthesheep.ejoinme.org/StarryNightTickets.
