The Trailing of the Sheep Festival has received yet another accolade. It’s been nominated for Best Fall Festival as part of USA TODAY’s 10Best’s Readers’ Choice Awards.

The Wood River Valley’s fall festival was one of 20 nominees picked by a panel of travel experts and USA TODAY editors.

Now it’s up to the public to vote for the best of those 20. Over the next four weeks USA TODAY 10Best readers can vote on their favorites once per day until ballots close at 9:59 a.m. Monday, Sept. 9, MDT. The top 10 will be announced on Sept. 18.

You can cast one vote per day at https://10best.usatoday.com/awards/travel/best-fall-festival-2024/trailing-of-the-sheep-festival-hailey-idaho/.

“We are thrilled that the Trailing of the Sheep Festival, now in its 28th year, was once again nominated for this honor, and we ask that all of our friends and fans go online and vote for us,” said Laura Musbach Drake, Trailing of the Sheep Festival’s executive director.

Other festivals up for the honor include the Ely, Minn., Harvest Moon Festival, which showcases the art of northern Minnesotans; the Jack Pine Glass Pumpkin Festival in Laurelville, Ohio, which showcases glass pumpkins in a unique pumpkin patch; North Carolina’s Woolly Worm Festival, which honors the woolly bear caterpillar whose bands are used to predict how severe the winter will be,  and the Oakhurst, Calif., Fall Festival, which boasts such interactive events as a Star Wars Jedi Academy.
