The Limelight Ketchum Community Fund is taking applications for grants from nonprofit organizations in the Wood River Valley. Applications must be submitted by Sept. 30, 2024.
The Limelight Ketchum Community Fund, under the umbrella of the Idaho Community Foundation, has donated nearly $205,000 to 30 organizations in the seven years since it was created. Grants have been gifted organizations dealing with youth development, senior services, mental health, domestic abuse, education, crisis mitigation and more.
The average grant award each cycle is $3,500.
The board of directors is made up of Limelight Hotel Ketchum employees who decide which qualified applicants receive a grant.
The Fund is financed by contributions from Limelight Ketchum’s operations, by contributions from employees through an optional paycheck deduction and by contributions from guests through an opt-out $1-per-night donation.
"At Limelight Ketchum, our commitment to community is at the heart of everything we do," said Tim Johnson, director of Sales for the hotel and a Community Fund Board Member. "We cherish our role in this vibrant area and believe in the power of supporting each other. The Limelight Ketchum Community Fund is our way of giving back and making a meaningful difference."
