See an outdoor movie and design your custom cowboy hat at Sun Valley Resort this Labor Day Weekend.

The resort is hosting a free screening of “THE PRINCESS BRIDE” at 7 p.m. tonight—Friday, Aug. 30—on the Sun Valley Pavilion Lawn. A light-hearted fairy tale about a princess and her one true love battling the evils of a mythical kingdom to be reunited, it’s suitable for all ages.

The Montana Territory Hat Company is hosting a trunk show at the Brass Ranch in Sun Valley Village Friday and Saturday. There’ll be live music and drinks from 3 to 6 p.m. today—Friday, Aug. 30—and you can create your own custom hat today and Saturday.

Take part in the free morning YOGA AT RIVER RUN Saturday, Aug. 31, as you get stretched out for the big Wagon Days Parade later in the afternoon. Registration for the event, sponsored by the Brass Ranch, starts at 8:45 a.m. with the hour-long session starting at 9. If you can’t make this weekend’s Yoga session, there’s one more scheduled for Sept. 7.

The SILVER CAR AUCTION runs from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Sun Valley Resort. Check out the collectible cars and memorabilia free of charge.

Catch the last SUN VALLEY ON ICE SHOW of the season at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31. Saturday’s show features 2024 U.S. Gold Medalists Ellie Kam and Danny O’Shea. For tickets, go to https://www.eventbrite.com/3/sun-valley-on-ice-ellie-kam-danny-oshea-tickets. Or, call Sun Valley’s Guest Center at 208-622-2135.

Cap off the weekend with the LUKAS NELSON CONCERT at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1, at Sun Valley Pavilion. Nelson, a Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter, has released eight studio albums, including his 2023 “Sticks and Stones,” which spent 18 weeks in the top 10 of the Americana Albums chart and earned two No. 1 singles for “Sticks and Stones” and “More than Friends.”

The opening act features Ken Pomeroy, an Oklahoma native who captivates audiences with her storytelling and musicianship anchored in her Native American heritage. For tickets, go to https://www.sunvalley.com/events/lukas-nelson/.
