Garrett Anderson, the executive director and artistic director of Ballet Idaho, will discuss the dance landscape ranging from contemporary dance to classical ballet tonight.
The free program will start at 5 p.m. tonight--Friday, Oct. 11 (NOTE THE DIFFERENT TIME)--at Ketchum’s Community Library.

The program comes ahead of the San Francisco Ballet’s pre-professional dance performance tonight—7 p.m. Oct. 11—at The Argyros in Ketchum. The performance will feature dancers from Australia, Canada, Greece, Iceland and the United States performing three world premieres.

Anderson trained at some of the country’s premier academies, including Contra Costa Ballet Centre, San Francisco Ballet School, American Ballet Theatre and Pacific Northwest Ballet School. He has danced with such companies as the Boise-based Trey McIntyre Project, the San Francisco Ballet, Royal Ballet of Flanders and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago.
He was chair of the Dance Department at New Mexico School for the Arts in Santa Fe before moving to Boise in 2018 to work with Ballet Idaho.
