Hailey resident Maya Emerson caught this photo of the Northern Lights Tuesday night atop Galena Summit. She was on the way home from a successful hunting trip in which she snagged a bull elk with a lopsided rack.
The aurora borealis has been seen as far south of Texas this week, putting on dazzling displays around the country and even in Europe.
