Ketchum firefighters will be serving up pancakes to get out the word about the fire consolidation measure on the ballot Nov. 5.
The measure asks voters whether to create a Ketchum Fire District and initiate steps toward valley-wide fire/EMS consolidation.
Firefighters will offer three presentations and Q&A sessions about consolidation and discuss its benefits and tradeoffs this week.
The presentations will be held at the Ketchum Fire Station on 107 Saddle Road in Ketchum near the Wood River Community YMCA. Food and drinks will be provided at each session, with the pancake breakfast and equipment demonstrations offered on Saturday.
On Wednesday, Oct. 23, the presentation will be held at 5 p.m.
On Thursday, Oct. 24, it will be held at noon.
On Saturday, Oct. 26, firefighters will serve a free pancake breakfast and equipment demonstrations at 8 a.m., followed by a fire consolidation presentation at 10 a.m.
RSVP at participate@ketchumidaho.org so firefighters can plan for enough food.
