DJ Marlin will spin tunes and the Sun Valley Culinary Institute will serve up hot chocolate and mulled wine during a Holiday Open House from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27.
The Culinary Institute will also serve up tasty treats during its open house at 211 N. Main St. in Ketchum.
The Sun Valley Culinary Institute offers a year-long professional program for aspiring chefs that includes two 10-week sessions learning the nuts and bolts of knife work, deboning chickens and more. Two paid stints at local restaurants are interspersed between the two in-class programs.
The Culinary Institute also offers enthusiast classes. Coming up: A Butter a la Francaise class highlighting classic French techniques for cooking with butter on Jan. 14, and a program with Seattle chef Cynthia Nims—“All About Oysters”--on Jan. 16.
The open house is being held in conjunction with the Christmas Gallery Walk.
