Challenge yourself to ski every run on Baldy or Dollar mountains during the month of February. And raise money for a good cause at the same time you’re discovering runs you may never knew existed and gunning for fabulous prizes.
PK’s is offering its annual Baldy Challenge through Feb. 29. The Blaine County Charitable Fund is also the beneficiary of this year’s Baldy Challenge. Skiers and boarders are invited to purchase a Run Card for $30 at PK’s in Ketchum on Leadville or Apple’s in Warm Springs and keep track of their runs during the month of February.
Turn in your card by March 1 for a chance to win a variety of prizes, including a 2025-26 Sun Valley season ski pass, a choice of next year’s K2skis from PKs, a Staycation with dinner for two at the Knob Hill Inn, golf certificates for Bigwood Golf Course during the summer of 2025 and $150 Atkinsons Market gift certificate.
Participants can buy their way out of skiing runs by purchasing mulligans.
You can also purchase a $10 “Light or ½ Challenge” card and just ski half of the runs listed.
The money you pay for your card is a donation to Blaine County Charitable Fund, which assists Blaine County families who encounter medical, rental and other crises.
The fun(d) raiser raised $10,000 for the Blaine County Charitable Fund during the winter of 2023-24.
This is the perfect time to ski Baldy as Sun Valley Resort received 42 inches of snow this week, bringing its snow base to 82 inches. The resort has gotten 124 inches this season as it inches its way to a historical annual average of 168 inches.
