If you’re going to Twin Falls on Saturday, wear your green.
The town’s leprechauns are coming out of the hills and dales to stage a Saint Patrick’s Day Festival on Saturday, March 15.
Downtown will turn into a sea of green including green flags and green pullovers galore. And, if you don’t have any green in your closet, there will be plenty of green swag, including green T-shirts and sweatshirts and leprechaun hats, available at the souvenir swag booth.
A parade will start at noon on Main Street in downtown Twin Falls. And from noon to 10 p.m. the area will be converted into the Emerald Isle with green beer, Maui Wowi Hawaiian coffee and smoothies and Poppin’ Lemmy’s Boba Lemonade.
There’ll be 40 vendors, including Hoot Hoot Lott & Mr. Woodworks, D’s Southern Bulldog Spice and Sausage Making and the Salty Peach Boutique. And there’ll be a variety of food booths, including Porked Out, Creative Cravings, Guppies Hot Rod Grille, For the Love of Pancakes and Cloverleaf Creamery.
There’ll be face painting for those wishing to have a rainbow or pot of gold splashed across their cheeks. And there’ll even be mechanical bull rides, although we’re under the impression that the Irish would be more comfortable riding their iconic Irish Mountain Hares than the symbol of the American West.
Music will be provided by Ground Control beginning at 1 p.m.; Dan Hamrick at 2 p.m., Jordan Shaw at 4 p.m. and Jukebox at 6.
