The Shoshone Project has facilitated the raffle of a new home with the proceeds to benefit the Lincoln County Youth Center and nine other Lincoln County organizations.
The raffle of the three-bedroom, two-bath modular home provided by an anonymous donor includes $30,000 to set up the home on the property of the owner’s choice.
“It’s an incredible opportunity,” said Rebecca Wood, Lincoln County Commission Chairman and co-founder of Lincoln County’s youth center. “We will be able to help every child in Lincoln County.”
Raffle tickets sell for $50 each, $100 for three or 10 for $325. The drawing will be held after at least 15,000 tickets have sold or at the end of the calendar year. Ticket holders will also be entered into weekly drawings for merchandise and prizes.
Winning a bonus prize doesn’t affect your eligibility for the home.
Proceeds will benefit The Lincoln County Youth Center, the county’s swimming pool, libraries in Shoshone and Richfield, food banks in Shoshone and Richfield and the transportation service known as Lincoln County Connections. They will also pay down lunch debt for students at the county’s three schools.
“We were so honored by the donation, we wanted to make sure we could benefit as many of Lincoln County’s children as possible,” Wood said. With this raffle, we think we can benefit nearly all of them in some way.”
Tickets can be purchased online at Lincoln County youth Center’s website at https://www.lincolncountyyouthcenter.com/. They also will be available at various locations in Lincoln County. Call 208-421-6280 for more information.
The Blaine County-based Shoshone Project was organized to tackle needs of residents of Shoshone, Dietrich and Richfield with the idea that many of those residents work in Blaine County. In fact, Lincoln County residents make up 40 percent of Blaine County’s workforce in an assortment of jobs in such spaces as pharmacies, restaurants, the hospital, banks and electrical and plumbing businesses.
