STORY BY KAREN BOSSICK

The off-again, on-again rain showers in the Wood River Valley has played havoc with people’s outdoor plans.

But it played into Christine Ferguson’s hands beautifully when she was able to snap this photo of a rainbow across the Hailey foothills from her home in the Cutters neighborhood.

“This is the out my back windows in Old Cutters,” said the director of Mountain Humane.

Rainbows show red on the outer part and violet on the inner side and other colors in between.
