Alaska Airlines will offer a new flight linking sunny San Diego and snowy Sun Valley this coming ski season.
The new SUN flight will fly three times a week—on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday--from Dec. 19, 2025, to March 29, 2026, said Fly Sun Valley Alliance Director Carol Waller.
The new SUN flight is one of several new routes the airlines is adding beginning in October.
It will offer three new flights from Hollywood Burbank Airport north of downtown Los Angeles to Eugene, Ore., Redmond-Bend, Ore., and Pasco, Wash. It’s offering a Palm Springs-Santa Rosa route, and it’s adding an Orange County-Spokane route.
It’s also adding a flight between Ontario, Calif., and Boise.
Fly Sun Valley recently announced new American Airlines flights from Phoenix and Chicago for the 2025-26 winter season. Daily nonstop flights on United, Alaska and Delta airlines will also connect Sun Valley to Denver, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle and Salt Lake City.
