While serious golfers tackle the 18-hole scramble at Windermere's first annual Sun Valley Golf Tournament, the real party might just be happening on the putt-putt course at Sun Valley Resort’s Trail Creek Golf Course.

The Blaine County Charitable Fund is hosting a Putt-Putt Party from 1 to 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 12, inviting everyone—from solo players to entire families—to join in what organizers promise will be an afternoon filled with laughs, creative shots and plenty of friendly competition.

"Show up solo, grab a friend, or roll in with your whole squad," said Mary Fauth of the Blaine County Charitable Fund, who notes there are lots of spots available for anyone wanting to participate.

The event is designed to make charitable giving as enjoyable as sinking a hole-in-one. While the tournament's main event focuses on traditional golf, the putt-putt component opens the fundraiser to community members of all ages and skill levels.

Participants can expect more than just miniature golf. Organizers are planning an atmosphere where "creative" shots are encouraged and a little good-natured smack talk comes with the territory.

Even if you can’t make it to Trail Creek on Sept. 12, there's still a chance to win big. The event features a raffle for golf for five at Sun Valley—and winners don't need to be present to claim their prize. Raffle tickets can be purchased at the event or online athttps://blainecf.networkforgood.com/events/91312-par-tee-raffle.

The tournament combines Windermere's inaugural fundraising effort with the Blaine County Charitable Fund's mission to assist families with rental assistance and other needs. By adding the putt-putt element, organizers have created an accessible way for the entire Wood River Valley community to participate in giving back.

As Fauth puts it, participants can "come swing, giggle, and putt for a purpose," with the added possibility of walking away with bragging rights as the valley's miniature golf champion.

The Trail Creek Golf Course location provides a scenic backdrop for what organizers hope will become an annual tradition combining community fun with charitable impact.
