STORY AND PHOTO BY KAREN BOSSICK

Celebrate the 60th anniversary of the iconic musical film “Sound of Music” Thursday night in Champions Meadow.

The City of Sun Valley is hosting a free “Sound of Music” Sing Along followed by a screening of the movie on Thursday, Sept. 11.

The sing along will begin at 5:30 p.m.—dress as your favorite character from the movie. Prizes will be handed out for best costume.

The movie will begin at 6 p.m. and gift bags will be handed out to the first 200 people.

Bring your own picnic and low-back chairs or blankets. Leave furry friends at home—there are no canines in the movie for them to groove to.
