STORY AND PHOTO BY KAREN BOSSICK

More than 75 arts and crafts vendors from across the Intermountain West will hawk their unique gifts at the annual Papoose Club Holiday Bazaar on Saturday and Sunday.

The bazaar—one of the Wood River Valley’s most cherished Christmas traditions—will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, and 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, at Hemingway STEAM School in Ketchum.

There’ll be plenty of handmade treasures, including ceramics, handblown glass, wood cutting boards, clothing, jewelry, handbags, birdhouses, textiles and more.

And Papoose Club volunteers sporting brand new aprons will be selling unique homemade holiday cookies by the dozen.

KB’s will have a food truck outside on Saturday and, inside, shoppers can test their luck in the Holiday Bazaar Raffle. This year’s raffle has a wide array of raffle packages valued at more than $19,000, according to Papoose Club member Mary Fauth.

Shoppers can choose from nearly two dozen packages, including one that includes a Sun Valley Challenger season pass with two demo ski rentals from PK’s and another that boasts a year’s worth of dinners at several restaurants, including CK’s Real Food, La Cabanita Mex and the Sawtooth Club.

One package includes a symphony picket basket filled with goodies, including a $500 gift card from Atkinsons’ Market and a $150 gift certificate from Rasberry’s. There’s even a Theater Nights basket that includes a $100 gift certificate to the Argyros, passes for Merlin’s Magic Lantern and the Liberty Theatre and after-theater dinners at the Cellar Pub and Yoimi Sushi and Hibachi.

Raffle tickets may be purchased in advance for $10 a ticket or $50 for six tickets at https://event.auctria.com/fe9101f3-01c5-4c3a-989a-2e5839640d56/. Or buy a bunch at the bazaar.
