A team of experts used cutting-edge underwater scanning and state-of-the-art computer-generated imagery to create the first high-resolution digital twin of the Titanic wreck.

And with it they were able to uncover the ship’s final moments, shedding light on acts of heroism and acts of cowardice as they revealed the true story behind the sinking of the luxury ocean liner that was sunk by an iceberg in 1912 during her maiden voyage from Southampton, England, to New York City.

British filmmaker Anthony Geffen will show “Titanic: The Digital Resurrection,” which was produced by National Geographic and released to HULU in April of this year, at 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19, at Ketchum’s Community Library.

And he will field question following the 69-minute film.

Geffen’s Atlantic Studios followed the expedition. And, as is his custom, he is showing it to Sun Valley audiences while in Sun Valley for Christmas.

You can see the presentation in person by reserving a seat at https://thecommunitylibrary.libcal.com/event/15668186. It will be livestreamed at https://vimeo.com/event/5547517, but it will not be recorded.

Geffen is one of the world’s leading documentary filmmakers—always eager to use the latest technology for his immersive storytelling. He’s won more than 50 international awards, including five British Academy Awards (BAFTAs) and 11 American Emmys.

Among the subjects he has immortalized: King Tut and Queen Elizabeth II.
