And create a portrait of yourself and others to be printed on a FUJIFILM instax camera when two hip artists present free workshops at The Community Library. Maria De Los Angeles and her partner Ryan Bonilla will each offer a free workshop at The Community Library in Ketchum as part of their dual residency at the historic Ernest and Mary Hemingway House, which is operated by The Library. Ryan Bonilla, a multimedia artist who was born in the Philippines, created an installation of photographs he took in New Jersey’s indoor ski “resort” for the Sun Valley Museum of Art as part of its “Snow Show: Winter Now” held in Spring 2025. He will offer a Photo Booth Workshop from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3. Participants of all ages are encouraged to have fun with the accessories and clothing they provide for their portraits. Some fun clothing and props will also be available to use. Registration is requested https://thecommunitylibrary.libcal.com/event/15762208, but walk-ins will be welcome. Bonilla migrated to downtown New York at an early age, and as a teenager, he was immersed in and influenced by the city's art, skate, street, and fashion cultures. Previously, a sponsored snowboarder and skateboarder, he later transitioned his career into the fashion and art worlds. He has worked and collaborated with various fashion houses, including Tommy Hilfiger, and his work has also been featured in Elle, Playboy and GQ magazines. His work has been showcased at Art Basel.
“Maria and Ryan have been to the valley several times at the invitation of the Sun Valley Museum of Art, where they’ve been in residency and exhibited,” said Martha Williams, the Library’s director of programs and education. “Courtney Gilbert introduced them to the Library, and we’re excited to bring them once again.”
